What Is the Smile Plan?

The Smile Plan is our in-house dental membership program designed specifically for patients without traditional dental insurance. For a yearly membership fee of $395, patients receive many of the preventive services needed to maintain healthy teeth and gums throughout the year.

The plan currently includes:

• Comprehensive dental examinations
• Necessary routine x-rays
• Two regular dental cleanings per year
• Two fluoride treatments per year
• 20% off most dental treatment

For many patients, the value of the included preventive services alone approaches or exceeds the annual membership fee. When you add the treatment discounts available throughout the year, the Smile Plan can provide significant savings while helping patients stay on schedule with their dental care.

Why We Created the Smile Plan

As a private practice dentist, I’ve seen firsthand how often patients delay treatment because of concerns about cost.

Many people assume dental insurance is the only way to make dental care affordable. The reality is that traditional dental insurance has become increasingly restrictive over the years. Annual maximums often remain similar to what they were decades ago despite rising healthcare costs. Some plans have waiting periods. Others exclude certain procedures altogether.

Many patients are surprised to learn that their annual insurance maximum may only cover a portion of the treatment they need.
